Unraveling the Gender Knot

Speaker: Allan Johnson

Allan Johnson taught Sociology for almost 30 years and is the author of The Gender Knot (Temple University Press, 2005) and Privilege, Power, and Difference (McGraw-Hill, 2005).  As a public speaker, Allan Johnson has given hundreds of talks and workshops across the United States in over 150 colleges and universities.

Dr. Johnson’s lectures are meant to address these provocative questions:

  • How do typical ways of thinking about privilege blind us to what's going on?
  • What are we participating in and how are we choosing to participate in it?
  • What can we do to make a difference?

Please plan to join Feminist Students United in welcoming this renowned speaker
