The College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a senior tenured faculty appointment, with the possibility of an endowed chair, in Latina/o Studies, to start as early as July 1, 2008. This search is multi-disciplinary within the Humanities and Social Sciences including but not limited to African and Afro-American Studies (http://www.unc.edu/depts/afriafam/), American Studies (http://amerstud.unc.edu/ ), Anthropology (http://anthropology.unc.edu), History (http://history.unc.edu/), Political Science (http://www.unc.edu/depts/polisci/), and Sociology (http://sociology.unc.edu). The appointment will be made in one or more relevant departments. Competitive candidates will have strong records of research and teaching.
