If you plan to visit our campus before being admitted, we ask that you make an appointment with faculty members and/or graduate students in your areas of interest.  Please be sure to do so well in advance of your visit.  To get more information about current faculty and graduate student research and interests, please take a look at our people section.

All students admitted to our graduate program are invited to campus for a long weekend in March, during which time they will have ample opportunity to visit classes, tour the campus, and meet with faculty and current graduate students.  All admitted students will receive an invitation to this event along with their departmental letter of admission.

If you are a first time visitor to Chapel Hill, you might want to stop by the University’s Visitor’s Center, located in the west end of the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center.  The Visitor’s Center provides maps, guides, and information about campus.  They also offer prospective graduate student tours.  Please contact them in advance if you are interested in such a tour.

You will find driving directions here. Parking is limited on campus, so please check the Visitor Parking webpage to find visitor parking locations.
