Student Association

The Industrial Relations Association (IRA) of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was founded in the fall of 1979 by a group of Industrial Relations students with hopes of offering majors a means of meeting with their fellow majors. Aside from this, its purpose is to complement the regular Curriculum with informative guest speakers and other programs aiding students' post-graduate planning.

In 1999 the name was changed to coincide with the new curriculum, Management & Society Student Association.  All prospective and declared Management & Society majors are urged to join. There is a small voluntary annual membership fee. Meetings are held at least once a month throughout the academic year. Volunteers are always needed for organizing programs, recruiting speakers, and publicizing meetings.   For more information contact one of the officers, or come by the Curriculum Office in 160 Hamilton Hall.
